Tigerlily Foundation’s Pure Cat Initiative was launched in honor of Catherine Odderstol, a sassy yogi, who danced through life, spread light and joy with everyone she met, and who left us the gift of her eternal gypsy soul. Cat was dedicated to helping others have a mind, body, spirit approach to health and wellness. Cat has inspired us to honor her SPIRIT legacy, by offering patients, caregivers and loved ones access to programs that inspire them to light up life, focus on faith not fear, and as she loved to say, “Let Love be Your Frequency”.

Pure Cat Program Classes Are Offered Through The Hey Marvelous Platform. This Allows Participants To Access Classes In Both Real Time As Well As After Classes Are Completed Via The Recorded Media Library. All Classes Are Taught By Certified Professionals And Are Free. All You Have To Do Is Create A Hey Marvelous Account And Register For Classes And/Or View Past Recordings At Your Leisure! The Only Exception Is Our Monthly Virtual Dance Party Which Is Viewable Via The Live Feed On Tigerlily Foundation’s Instagram Page. MONDAY CLASSES

4:00pm EST: Yoga with Valencia

I offer yoga and meditation classes, beach yoga, YogaWalks, and cancer retreats. I have been featured doing yoga on Good Morning America and featured in People Magazine as a National Teacher of the Year.

When I’m not helping people discover the magic of yoga, you can find me actively involved in my local community. I’m passionate about helping cancer patients get to and from their appointments and helping them navigate through their journey. I am a patient advocate and work with several National organizations in areas of legislation, research and therapeutics. I was awarded the 2019 Grassroots Advocacy Award by the National Breast Cancer Coalition.

My secret and occasional indulgences are traveling, exploring new places and reading a good novel.

I’m so looking forward to connecting with you and sharing the gifts of yoga and mindfulness!

Some of the Major Benefits of Yoga:

· Increased physical stamina so you feel more flexible, less sore, have better posture and are stronger in your body

· Meditation and breath work exercises that allow you to stay calm and peaceful, even in agitated situations

· Regular activity that includes physical exercise, mental engagement, and spiritual relaxation

Things to consider for our Yoga class together: Eat a light, healthy lunch the day of class, drink plenty of water throughout the day, if you have blocks or books have them handy, have a strap or scarf close by also. We will also do some chair poses so please have a chair and, of course, your mat.

TUESDAY CLASSES

5:30pm EST: Pilates with Shannon

We are not living this life, in this body, to not have connected with it. In the body’s pleasure and pain, we have an opportunity to grow, learn ourselves, love and honor ourselves, and to heal” Shannon Briese has spent the last 23 years of her career delving in to the practice of connecting with the body, heart, and mind. Shannon has spent the majority of her career offering embodiment therapies such as; Sports massage, Ashiatsu, Ashi-Thai, Aromatherapy, Cupping therapy, Prenatal massage and Cranio-sacral therapy, with her training based out of the Colorado School of Healing Arts (2001) as well as other highly acclaimed private training facilities. She has had the honor of applying these skills in world class spas, physical therapy practices, and award-winning hospitals. Along with bodywork, movement can be a powerful healing modality, this is where Shannon discovered her passion. Her training at the renowned Pilates Center of Boulder (2007) led her to work alongside many industry leaders, mainly Cara Reeser, where she studied the work of Kathleen Stanford Grant and was blessed to be surrounded by inspired, curious, and heart-led peers. This inspired Shannon to combine her bodywork practices with the Pilates method, resulting in lasting change for her clients. Throughout that time Shannon has also cultivated her mindfulness practice and shares all off her offerings around the Dever area, though her business Total Body Wellness. Classes with Shannon leave you feeling energized, grounded, and empowered. While she is not at the studio, Shannon is honored to represent Root Adventures in leading their thoughtfully curated mindful-adventure travel retreats. Mind/body connection with Nature and adventure are our teachers and greatest healers! You can also find Shannon at Malas for Tatas, a non-profit organization she co-founded with her sister, Erin (2018). Together, with their team, they support folks in breast cancer treatment with holistic care, mindfulness practices, and creative, wholehearted, community events.

Course description: No matter your Pilates experience or fitness level, this class is for you. Join Shannon Briese in this all-levels Pilates Mat class. We will be building strength and flexibility, utilizing beginner level Pilates mat exercises, with an opportunity to get curious about more challenging variations. We will often incorporate props to enhance your practice. These will be items you can easily find around the house. Dress comfortably and ready to move, grab your yoga mat and let’s get reconnected to our bodies!

Hello! I’m JOYCE STANLEY, and I live in DALLAS, GA. I’ve been a ZIN™ Member since Jul 2014 and I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes. The reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! Rachael is a health and wellness coach (certified by the American Council of Exercise) with a masters in human nutrition and food science. She is passionate about helping women learn to love an accept themselves, learn more about their bodies, and gain confidence they can make the changes to live the life they want.

5:30pm EST: Virtual Movement Class with Ketty Urbay

Ketty M Urbay was born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. Ketty has a double bachelors in Dance and Psychology from Florida International University. She facilitated movement and creative writing workshops for 15 years with at risk teenage girls through a program created by her Dance Professor Leslie Neal called ArtSpring. Her desire to bring the healing and transformative power of music and dance into women’s lives has birthed her new community, Simply M The Movement. Ketty won’t stop until every woman’s heart is free to express the truest expression of who she is. Mind, body and soul. So let’s dance!

Course description: Dance and music can heal your mind, body and soul. This is a 1 hour dance class set to a carefully curated musical playlist that will inspire and elevate. Have fun following easy to learn dance steps and creative movement exercises that will spark your joy and creativity. Every week is a new theme and a whole new set of moves to a variety of music.

Recommended audience: Everyone who loves to dance and thinks they can’t do it! Everyone who loves to dance and wants to keep dancing in a fun and safe space!

FRIDAY CLASSES

8:00pm EST First Friday of each month: Community Sound Bath with Michaela

We come together in community to be supported by the soothing vibrations of breath, silence, and sound. The session begins with setting an intention for your practice, followed by gentle stretches and breathing techniques to guide you into deep relaxation and surrender. The remainder of the journey is a sound bath guided by crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, drum, guitar, and vocal toning channelling the frequencies of love.

Join Michaela on the first Thursday of every month for an opportunity to nourish your body, mind, and soul. Give yourself the gift of loving care, attention, and a space to relax and release at the end your day. Sweeten your sleep by entering this sanctuary of self love and connection.

No prior experience with meditation or sound healing is necessary. Wear what makes you feel most comfortable, have a cushion and blanket near by. Bring a curious mind and an open heart.

ABOUT MICHAELA BEKENN

Michaela Bekenn is a Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist, songwriter, dancer, and storyteller. She completed her yoga training through the Sivananda Centre in Quebec & India, her Sound Therapy training through the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto, and her Meditation teacher training through the Nalanda Institute in New York. She teaches Compassion-Based Resilience Training (CBRT) to individuals and groups, as well as mindfulness practices for addiction recovery, stress reduction, and aiding chronic pain. She finds great joy in working with diverse demographics across Toronto, offering meditation in corporate offices, yoga, music, and nature-based education for youth, and sound healing & yoga sessions for all ages and abilities. Michaela believes deeply in the power of community and integrative wellness. She is committed to nurturing a safe practice and inclusive space for participants to feel held, and nourished from the inside out.
